Registration is now open for the OOS Warblers and Wildflowers Weekend!
Shawnee State Park is one of the best places to see, hear, and photograph migrating songbirds as they arrive and establish their breeding territory!
Cerulean, Worm-eating Warbler, Kentucky, and Hooded Warbler; Yellow-throated and Red-eyed Vireo; and Louisiana Waterthrush are just a few of the species you can expect to encounter there.
Chris and Jacob, in their role as Board Members for the Ohio Ornithological Society, will be at Shawnee State Park April 26-28 for the Warblers & Wildflowers Weekend. Chris will be leading a photography tour on Saturday morning, and Jacob will be volunteering at the event. They will be seeking out all of the birds listed above, as well as many others, such as Eastern Whip-poor-will, American Redstart, Black-and-white Warbler, Prairie Warbler, and Blue-winged Warbler. Along with nightly trips to seek out and hear Chuck-will’s-widow!!
We hope to see you there!
