I know a few fellow birders/photographers who are using this “Stay Home” time to finally get around to sorting through all of those precious images that have been captured during their vacations and other travels. Cherished memories sitting on SD cards and external hard drives just waiting for some attention. Unlike them, I’ve just been posting random links that might be of interest to all of you – but nothing of my own, really.
Today is a little different, and I have found some inspiration to go through my own images. The very talented Daniel Silva Yoshisato, in conjunction with PromPerú Oficial and Visit Peru, sent me this video today from the unforgettable #FamTrip I took in November of 2018.
Every image in this video brings back amazing memories of what it was like to visit South America for the first time. For many of these clips, I was standing next to Daniel and have photos of the very birds that you see here. I hope to post/re-post some of those photos over the next few days.
Let us know what you think, and feel free to share some of your own bird photos in our Facebook groups Birders on Vacation and Buckeye Birders on Vacation (both cover photos for those groups came from the very Peru trip in the video!!)
If you watch closely, you’ll see our good friend Eric Ripma with Sabrewing Nature Tours! (More about that later!) 🙂 Enjoy! – Chris
