Let’s do one more solo shot from Day 3…
I really didn’t mean to take so many photos, but what was I supposed to do when I had all of these AMAZING birds just sitting around?
As with my last post from Abra Patricia, the lighting in the evening required a little bump of the ISO and some steady hands. If you look closely, you can see that it isn’t as sharp as it could have been, but this bird is just too pretty not to share. When they are hovering around the feeders it looks almost entirely black, except for its namesake white collar.
It was my 23rd hummingbird of the tour, and yet another unforgettable species! There are a few more to come from Day 3. Watch for a bonus post with a few shots in it!
